Let the love last long

Date:2020-10-25

The wind is cool and the autumn sun is pleasant. On the ninth day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar, it is a traditional festival for all Chinese people-Double Ninth Festival. In ancient times, people used to climb high hills to pray for blessing, travel in autumn to appreciate the chrysanthemums, wear cornel, worship gods and ancestors, and eat banquets for birthdays. Today, the Double Ninth Festival is also called the Elderly’s Day. It is a day to respect, love and help the elderly. Caring for the elderly is also a traditional virtue of our Chinese nation.
However, this year’s situation is special. Due to the prevention and control of the epidemic, it is not possible to organize parent-child group activities in all kindergartens. On the occasion of this festival, our children celebrated the Double Ninth Festival in their own way. Let us take a look!
The teachers shared picture books, nursery rhymes, videos, questionnaires and other interesting activities to lead the children to learn about the Double Ninth Festival, and let them develop the good habit of respecting the elderly.
The children made various creative greeting cards with the theme of "Gratitude" as gifts, and brought them home to their grandparents, and expressed their love for them with words and actions.
The colorful Double Ninth Festival theme activities not only let the children know how to respect and care for every old man around them, but also strengthen the feelings between grandparents and grandchildren. While understanding Chinese traditional culture, they also deepen their understanding of inheriting filial piety
