In ancient times, people used to climb high hills to pray for blessing, travel in autumn to appreciate the chrysanthemums, wear cornel, worship gods and ancestors, and eat banquets for birthdays. Today, the Double Ninth Festival is also called the Elderly’s Day. It is a day to respect, love and help the elderly. Caring for the elderly is also a traditional virtue of our Chinese nation.
